NUM TIME COMMENT
1 12:00 MITCH SLEIGH - NO LONGER MAN BOY MIDWAY MAIDEN PLATE 1600m
Strong tempo assured from Corpulent and So Superior leading the charge.  CORPULENT (2) took the lead a fair way out and was left a sitting duck for the winner on debut over a similar trip to this at Wyong last start. Sure to improve with that run under the belt and will be tough to reel in. WEEKDAY FLYER (14) made significant improvement last Saturday when facing the starter for the second time, winding up strongly to grab second over 1400m at this track. Blinkers on and backs up quickly - both positives. Looks a big threat out to the mile for the first time. SHARBINO (12) was in the money first-up at Queanbeyan then didn't cope with the class rise at Warwick Farm last time. Back in a more suitable race and should be peaking at the third run back from a spell. WORMINGTON (8) led for home but couldn't finish it off over this course and distance last weekend. Should run a cheeky race. SO SUPERIOR (6) is fresh from a two-month break and could surprise over his pet distance.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Corpulent and Weekday Flyer.
2 12:35 PEAK GARDENS F&M MAIDEN HANDICAP 1200m
Diamond Dice is the likely leader at a strong tempo. STARDUST MEMORIES (5) is a first starter by Zoustar from a Written Tycoon mare on debut for Waterhouse/Bott. Trials through 2025 were pretty uneventful but of late she is flying with two wins by an aggregate of 8.2 lengths. This looks a nice way to launch her career. COLD GIN (1) has had two runs back after almost a year off the scene. Dropped back to 1000m last start which wasn't ideal. Getting to 1200m third-up off a seven-day break is an appealing scenario. DIAMOND DICE (10) led and fought hard but eventually found a couple better over 1100m at Gosford recently. Has only been to the races twice and there is plenty of improvement still to come. CELEBES SEA (3) is a Fastnet Rock filly on debut. Has looked good in each of her trials and holds each way appeal.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Taking the gamble on Stardust Memories.
3 01:10 AIB/ARA BUILDING SERVICES CG&E MAIDEN HANDICAP 1200m
Tricky one to map with a number of first starters but over this trip there is good speed anticipated. Key scratchings have turned this race upside down. Leaning towards a pair of debutants. MALUA BAY (10) debuts after three trials, winning two of them. Scratchings work to his favour and suspect he can hit the ground running. CRUNCH (7) showed good improvement from his first to second trials at Warwick Farm. Profiles as the main danger. SKY DECK (12) warmed up late on debut recently at this track. Not sure 1200m is ideal but there should be improvement to come. BANNER BANNER (2) went back to last after an early check then gathered momentum late to finish midfield over 1100m at Hawkesbury recently. An extra 100m on a roomier track sets this up nicely.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Malua Bay.
4 01:45 EXPRESS SMASH REPAIRS SUPER MAIDEN PLATE 1400m
Cellphone has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. COOL RUPERT (2) was poorly away and spotted the leaders a big start before working home into fourth when resuming over 1300m here last start. Trainer Matthew Smith tinkers with the gear. Nicely placed out to 1400m at this stage of the campaign and a big run is anticipated. CELLPHONE (1) led and gave a great sight but was bloused close to home at his latest appearance over 1550m at the Kensington track. Comes back in trip but shows good early dash so it shouldn't bother him. Progressing well and is up to winning a race like this. MOVIE NIGHT (11) was competitive in town last prep and should go well at this level first-up. HONEYSUCKLE (14) has shown glimpses of promise at the trials. Holds some each way appeal.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Cool Rupert to win but it is tricky.
5 02:20 SCARLETT GEE BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP 1000m
A solid tempo is on the cards with Stormfield and Voltage Lass pushing for the lead ahead of Maz Kanata and Sunday Tycoon. Hard to rule any of these out. HONEY PERFUME (4) scored two back over this distance at Canberra then stepped up to 1100m at Wyong last start and was less effective. Record at 1000m reads two wins and three minors from six tries. Can bounce back to form in this suitable contest. TAI LUNG (2) closed well but was never a threat against better opposition at Randwick last time. Penza is two for two on the veteran and he reunites. Certainly in the mix. STORMFIELD (5) is a lightly raced four-year-old with each-way claims first-up from a 16-week spell. VOLTAGE LASS (7) resumes. Clearly her toughest test to date having cut her teeth last prep at country level.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Honey Perfume.
6 02:55 ABAX CIVIL PROVINCIAL BENCHMARK 68 HANDICAP 1200m
Starinion is the likely leader at a slick tempo.  KOIOS (3) had to do a lot of work to race up on the speed last start and the early effort told when he tired at the end of 1250m at Newcastle. Drops 4kgs after the claim and draws in much closer. Ready to peak at the third run back from a spell. OPAL FIELDS (5) was only beaten 2.5 lengths over this distance at Warwick Farm two starts ago. Lacked a kick at the end of 1400m last time. Might be the big improver in this field with blinkers going on for the first time. PELEUS (2) continued his solid form this prep when a closing second over 1150m on the Illawarra circuit 11 days ago. Needs a bit of luck from a wide draw but should be competitive again. STARINION (7) resumes. Led all the way to win a BM64 here at this distance when second-up last prep. Comes to hand quickly and is a big chance if left alone in front. READY TO ROCKET (6) improves at each outing this time in work. Placed two from two at Kembla so she comes right under notice.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Happy to give Koios another chance.
7 03:35 TORI DARKE CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1200m
Lady Pankhurst, My Proclama and Tuscany can set a strong tempo. BROADWAY STREET (7) drifted back to last from the outside gate then went through his gears impressively to record a maiden win first-up over this course and distance 17 days ago. Has only raced twice so there is a stack of improvement to come. Stick with him. MY PROCLAMA (9) has been a bit hot and cold of late. Went close at Wyong two runs back over this distance then failed to flatter last time when she stepped up to 1300m. Yet to miss the frame in four runs at 1200m so she is in the right race to bounce back to form. TUSCANY (4) is racing in great heart this prep and he should be in the finish again. MARCHON (8) has looked good so far this campaign, shedding his maiden tag at Canberra before a close placing at Newcastle last start.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Broadway Street to make it two in a row.
8 04:15 NATHAN LAMONT BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP 1500m
Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Ocean Chill.  WILD THOUGHTS (1) finished third but was beaten a long way when stretched to 1900m at Newcastle last start. Has two wins from three runs over today's course and distance. Very fit and can return to form in this more suitable race. GLASTONBURY GIRL (8) has raced twice this prep and been strong through the line over 1400m on each occasion. Won third-up over the mile at Canberra when last in work. Draws much closer today so she looks a huge chance to build on a nice record. OCEAN CHILL (2) led in a new role for her last start and she defied all challengers in a BM74 over 1450m at Muswellbrook. Doubt she will find this any harder so a repeat performance is not out of the question. EMPRESS OF JAPAN (5) warmed up late to grab the minor prize over 1400m here recently. Ready to peak third-up with the blinkers going back on. VELARIS (3) got going late when fresh from a spell over 1300m at Newcastle last time. Can make his mark over an extra 200m this afternoon.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Very open - Wild Thoughts each-way.
