NUM TIME COMMENT
1 10:01 Maiden Race 1800m
ESTANCIA (12) had her first look at a dirt track last start when second-up from a spell and improved nicely to finish second, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 1800m at Kyoto Dirt. Encouraging effort last time and definitely worth following up. EDELWEISS (13) was beaten for speed on debut last start then worked home honestly to finish fifth over 1800m at Kyoto Dirt. Should improve sharply and this looks a nice race. VALIOSA (9) started at $9.60 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 10 lengths at Kyoto Dirt over 1800m. Hard to beat in this suitable race. LAGUNA TORRE (2) finished second last start over 1800m at Niigata Dirt, beaten 5 lengths. Ready to go one better.
2 10:30 Maiden Race 1400m
MOZU FLASH (15) ran on strongly only to just miss last start over 1400m at Kyoto Dirt. Should be near her peak for this. Hard to beat in this suitable race. HAKKOICHIU (10) will find this a little easier than his second on debut two weeks ago, beaten a neck at the end of 1400m at Kyoto Dirt. Will benefit from that experience so he is worth following up. VAL MIRACLE (13) is back at the races for the first time since April 12. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 1400m at Chukyo Dirt. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. VOSNE ROMANEE (4) ran a better race when second-up last start, finishing 0.8 lengths away in fourth over 1400m at Kyoto Dirt. Better than recent efforts suggest.
3 11:00 Maiden Race 2000m
ROCK WITH YOU (6) is still a maiden after nine runs. Was well in commission last time out but after being prominent at the turn didn't live up to market expectations, finishing fourth over 1800m at Kyoto Dirt. Well placed on this occasion and gets his chance to break the ice. HIGH UPGRADE (9) went forward last start over 1900m at Kyoto Dirt and held on well for second, beaten 5 lengths. In a suitable race and can play a major role. SHORYU ASAHI (16) remains a maiden after five runs. Had plenty of admirers last time but could only manage to finish eighth over 1900m at Kyoto Dirt. Worth including in this suitable contest. ORIGINAL FINE (8) finished 2.25 lengths away in fourth at her last appearance over 1900m at Kyoto Dirt on June 1. Among the better chances in what looks a nice race.
4 11:35 Maiden Race 1600m
PEARL PENDANT (13) finished second, beaten 3 lengths, when resuming from a spell last start over 1600m at Kyoto after she was in contention on the turn. Placed to advantage so expect another big run. ADORABILE (3) is progressing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid third at Kyoto over 1800m. Drawn to advantage. Sure to run well. DANON PRIMA (16) finished third, beaten 3.5 lengths, when resuming from a spell last start over 1600m at Kyoto after she was in the firing line on the turn. Progressing in good style and can run a bold race. G T DRESS (18) produced a better run last start, beaten 4.5 lengths into fourth over 1800m at Kyoto. Well placed and can figure in the finish this time.

By Into Mischief and hails from the Hiroyasu Tanaka stable. Watch the market closely.
6 12:55 Maiden Race 1800m
LORD LEGGIERO (4) resumes. Closed last prep with a 11th over 1800m at this track on March 15. Worth noting that he opened the last campaign with a minor placing at Kyoto over 2000m. Drawn to enjoy a nice run just off the lead. Best figures should see him run well. MATENRO GIFT (1) could only manage tenth two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1800m at Kyoto, beaten 2 lengths. Finds a suitable race and can play a major role. T O STEIN (18) is yet to break through after 11 starts. Placed two back then last time out was fourth, beaten 2.75 lengths, over 1800m at Kyoto. Suited here and can feature with even luck. HORSE ONE (14) settled well back from the inside draw last start before coming home nicely to finish 4 lengths away in fifth over 2000m at Kyoto. Can play a role in the finish.
7 01:25 Allowance Race 1200m
BACHALPSEE (9) had a bit on his rivals at latest outing, recording an impressive win over 1200m at Kyoto Dirt. Gets some weight relief this time. Has the pace to settle in the leading division. Will play a major role. GEBER (7) is a handy galloper who was 0.8 lengths from the winner in second when resuming last start over 1200m at Niigata Dirt. Among the leading chances. TRAVELIN' BAND (14) is back after a break of 12 weeks. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 1200m at Kyoto Dirt. Makes plenty of appeal. ADEL LIEBE (16) is a handy type who resumes after a break of four-and-a-half months. Only appeared once last prep when she finished fifth over 1400m at Kyoto Dirt, beaten 2.5 lengths. Expected to cross from wide out. In the mix.
8 01:55 SANDA TOKUBETSU 2400m
GOLTZSCHTAL (4) is racing well and looks to have a stranglehold on this. Scored at this track two back then finished third, beaten a long neck, over 2400m in the G2 TV Tokyo Hai Aoba Sho (Japanese Derby Trial) at the latest appearance seven weeks ago. Class runner by far. DANON CIMA (6) is yet to miss the placings in four starts, including two wins. Last appeared when he was successful over 2400m at this track on April 5. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Obvious threat. FAMILY TIME (5) finished 3.5 lengths away in sixth last time out over 2000m at Niigata when fresh from a spell as $4 favourite. Steps up in journey today. Best of the others. MUGELLO (3) finished sixth over 1900m at Chukyo Dirt at his most recent appearance on March 23. One for the exotics.
9 02:25 Allowance Race 1600m
SMART MISTRAL (4) was too good for a maiden field when resuming last start over 1600m at Kyoto, scoring by 3 lengths. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. No reason she cannot get the job done again. KNOCKNAREA (10) resumes after a break of three-and-a-half months. Trying to repeat her debut win over 1600m at Kyoto to kick off last prep. Key runner. GLOBE AMARANTH (5) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with only one victory from 11 starts. Did a good job last start to finish third over 1600m at Niigata, beaten 4.5 lengths. Finds an easier assignment and can play a significant role. PEGASUS NORTH (2) is a progressive three-year-old filly who resumes from a break of four months, her last appearance being a win over 1200m at Kokura. Likely to go forward from a nice draw. Sure to be thereabouts.
10 03:01 AKI TOKUBETSU 1200m
FENDER (16) was prominent from the outset and fought on for second last start over 1400m at Kyoto Dirt, making it three minor placings in a row and two this prep. Should race just off the speed despite the wide draw. Bursting to win another race. MONDE PLUME (14) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with just two wins from 21 starts. Was again denied last start when he found one better over 1200m at Niigata Dirt. Nicely placed to test this line-up. OCEA EXPRESS (9) ran a strong second over 1200m at Nakayama Dirt two runs back then was below his best last time over 1400m when fifth, beaten 3 lengths. Freshened for this so deserves another chance. ECORO AZEL (4) is having his first run since February 23. Goes very well when fresh with two wins from three starts, the latest over 1200m at Nakayama Dirt at the start of last prep. Worth including.
11 03:35 SANNOMIYA STAKES 1800m
W HEART BOND (12) returns from a 133-day break and puts a perfect record on the line at start five. Last appeared when she easily accounted for her rivals over this distance at Kyoto Dirt. The one to beat. SUNDAY FUNDAY (7) gave a bold sight at the latest appearance over 1800m in the G3 Antares Stakes at this track but dropped out to finish eighth. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Grade Two winner who has a class edge on most of these. SATONO PHOENIX (3) finished a 5 length eighth when resuming last start over 1400m in stakes class at Kyoto Dirt. Has been in the money at each second up start. Leading chance on best form. TOUCH WOOD (13) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1800m at Kyoto Dirt, beaten 7 lengths. Fitter this time will prove harder to beat.
12 04:15 Allowance Race 1200m
SPIRIT RISE (8) broke his maiden five starts back and has not been far away since, most recently when beaten 1.75 lengths into third over 1400m at Tokyo. Should camp just off the leaders. Leading contender. INTERPOSER (11) resumed last time out and finished third over 1200m at Niigata, beaten 2.5 lengths after giving away a big start on straightening. That form puts him right in this. IN FLORE (16) is a progressive galloper who is first-up since finishing 12th over 1200m at this track 12 weeks ago which was the only run of that prep. Has won when fresh from a spell in the past. One of the contenders. HERO IN CHIEF (3) found the line nicely last start to get up for second over 1200m at Niigata. Backmarker who keeps coming. Can run on into the finish.
