HKU FACULTIES OF ARTS AND EDUCATION PLATE 1000m
The Griffin's are up first and THE ALL OUT (2) was a good winner on debut down this track and trip, sitting up on the pace and winning by a narrow margin as the $1.20 favourite. He's trialled impressively since and he has the speed to offset the alley for the straight course. Purton sticks and he looks the one to beat. His form has been franked through QUICK MONEY (1) who won as a $1.30 pop before going under by 0.3L most recently when up to 1200m. He draws ideally for the straight course however and showed good speed last time out. Meets The All Out worse at the weights but looks a clear second pick. FIELD MARSHAL (10) wasn't far behind Quick Money last start when beaten 1.8L in the same race on debut. Winkers on now and back to 1000m, where he'd trialled well previously, he can play a major role. MONEY TYCOON (11) showed good signs at the trials coming in and is not to be discounted. |

HKU FACULTIES OF LAW AND MEDICINE HANDICAP 1600m
BEAUTIFUL WIN (1) comes here off a 35-day break with a trial between runs after being gunned down late at this track and trip. He was back to C5 there and had to work from out wide, but he draws a much softer barrier this time around. Can position himself close to the speed again and score a maiden win. SMILING COLLECTOR (2) drops back in grade today after working his way back to C5 in recent races. The booking of Hugh Bowman makes this seem like a targeted attack and a return to his best form would see him right in the finish. SMASHING EXPRESS (6) has been back to the trials since his latest effort at this track and trip 35 days ago, where he was beaten 1.5L. The wide draw may see him back in the run, but his recent figures stack up well and he's sure to put his best foot forward. FAMILY FORTUNE (7) is better than he showed last time out and can bounce back to the form we saw earlier this campaign. |

HKU HERITAGE HANDICAP 1200m
WINNING DIAMOND (7) landed midfield and stuck on well to the line, beaten 1.8L on debut down the Straight course. Up to 1200m looks a big tick for him and he was right in the market at his debut. Purton now hops on board and with improvement expected, he looks poised to shed the maiden tag. RAINBOW SEVEN (3) surprised at massive odds on debut but proved it was no fluke last time out when rattling home. Can sit closer this time from a better gate and he looks to be trending the right way. Can be right in the finish yet again. AEROVOLANIC (4) has looked very good at the trials coming in and gets the in-form Ellis Wong in the saddle. Winkers remain on for his debut and he can make an immediate impact. SEA SAPPHIRE (9) can be positive from a good gate and has had a quiet trial between runs. Should give a bold sight. |

HKU FACULTIES OF DENTISTRY AND SOCIAL SCIENCES HANDICAP 1200m
FUN N FUN TOGETHER (1) led and won comfortably over this course and distance last time out, winning by a length on the line. Purton remains in the saddle and this shapes as a similar contest to his last start win. Ticks plenty of boxes again and can repeat the dose. PATCH OF WATCH (11) carried no weight and bolted in at this track and trip in easier company. He led and kicked away to win impressively and while this is tougher, he remains right down in the weights. Should be prominent in the run and will be in this for a long way. ROBOT KNIGHT (8) has been around the mark his past couple, finishing just behind Fun N Fun Together last start as a $14 chance. He's trialled well since that effort and he actually led that day, opposing his usual racing style. Creates plenty of interest. MEEPMEEP (7) is racing in good order, though over 1650m in recent efforts. He has placed 2/4 at this trip however and will be strong late. |

UNIVERSITY HALL HANDICAP 1400m
TRULY FLUKE (5) was okay on debut before striking a suitable race last start and running a solid figure when beaten 1.8L over 1200m. Now out to 1400m looks a big tick for this son of Brutal and he's trialled well since his latest effort. Can continue to improve through the ranks. SPECIAL HEDGE (12) led them up last start over the mile but couldn't fend off the winner when beaten 2L. Back to 1400m looks a good play and he can make his own luck up on the speed from the barrier. Form out of his last start has been great and he can go one better this time. BULL ATTITUDE (9) showed improvement last start out to this trip, as expected being by The Autumn Sun. The wide draw may be an issue, but he turned in a solid rating last start and that holds him in good stead for this event. STAR BROSE (8) retains Bowman after a sound run last start at this track and trip and is not to be discounted. |

HKU FACULTIES OF ARCHITECTURE AND SCIENCE HANDICAP 1800m
PING HAI COMET (3) made it back-to-back wins with an impressive 2L victory over the Sha Tin mile last start and is on the quick turnaround. The inside draw is a big tick and the rise up to 1800m is no issue. Hard to ignore his past couple of efforts and he can bring up the hat-trick. DOUBLE WIN (9) was flying late under Chadwick to just miss by 0.3L at this track and trip 27 days ago. Wouldn't surprise to see him sit closer this time around and if he can run up to his recent efforts, he'll be hard to hold out. HAKKA RADIANCE (13) disappointed last start behind Ping Hai Comet after being in strong form in his runs prior. Back to 1800m today is an interesting move, but he remains down in the weights and he'll make his own luck up on the speed. PERFECT PAIRING (7) is racing in top order and jumped favourite ahead of Ping Hai Comet when beaten at his last start. Orman rides now and he can play a major role. |

THE HONG KONG UNIVERSITY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION CHALLENGE CUP (HANDICAP) 1400m
HAROLD WIN (1) stepped up to 1650m last start and didn't see out the longer journey. His form over this track and trip was superb prior and he was knocking on the door of another victory. Can land in a handy position and a return to his best form will see him hard to hold out. LUCKY ARCHANGEL (5) has been around the placings in recent starts and steps up to 1400m for the first time in his career. His recent figures suggest he can measure up in this event and he has shown versatility in his past. Can land the knockout blow without surprising. ENDUED (4) just missed by 1L in a good race at Happy Valley when in the market and the form out of the race has been franked. Bowman remains in the saddle and he never really got into the race at his only try at this track and trip. Worth keeping on side. STRANGE ALERT (6) makes his debut and has shown enough in his last couple of trials to suggest he can feature. |

HKU BUSINESS SCHOOL AND FACULTY OF ENGINEERING HANDICAP 1200m
RAGING BLIZZARD (1) resumes off a 108-day break and has been trialling well coming into this event. He jumped favourite in a strong race here two back and nothing went right before disappointing at Happy Valley most recently. Avdulla now rides from and he's worth forgiving on recent performances. CALL ME GLORIOUS (8) just missed two back before a narrow win last start in a C3 when leading all the way. Suspect he'll adopt similar tactics today with no weight on his back and Atzeni will be very hard to run down. BOTTOMUPTOGETHER (2) is ticking along in good order, bolting in two back on the All Weather before backing up that performance here most recently. He's trialled nicely since and Purton remains in the saddle. Ticks plenty of boxes and can give a bold sight. WUNDERBAR (3) disappointed first-up but has been impressive at the trials since. Bowman now hops on board and he can return to his best. |

HKU FOUNDATION HANDICAP 1800m
LIVEANDLETLIVE (6) led and won two back over 2000m before a 0.8L defeat most recently, again over the 2000m journey. The inside barrier is a big help for him as he's likely to be right on the speed again. Tracking along well and can go one better this time around. ENTHRALLED (2) was beaten 3L last start over 2000m but boasts a strong record at this trip. Purton now hops in the saddle and he's turned in a nice trial since his latest effort. Expecting him to put his best foot forward. WINNING WING (5) gets the blinkers on for the first time after landing midfield last start and sticking on fairly over 2000m. He's a winner over this track and trip three starts ago under Dylan Mo and he can roll across from the wide alley. Lightly raced and could still have improvement to come. GENTLEMEN LEGACY (7) bumped into a good one last start and now rises up to 1800m where he was very impressive in Australia prior to his sale. Looks ready to go to another level now. |

HKU JOCKEY CLUB STUDENT VILLAGES HANDICAP 1200m
RISING FORCE (12) bolted in on debut before a 1L defeat as a deep odds-on elect here m27 days ago. He comes into this on the fresh side again for Leung and drops in weight as he rises in grade. Lost no admirers last time out and if he can hold his form, he'll be very hard to run down. GUMMY GUMMY (1) disappointed last start when folding up late after sitting close to the speed throughout. He's trialled well since that performance and he looks to get his chance. Expecting him to bounce back to form and that'll see him go close to winning. MR ENERGIA (11) ran home well from midfield last start but couldn't fend off the winner, missing by 1L. Teetan hops in the saddle now after riding well on Wednesday night and he remains right down in the weights. Can make his presence felt. LUCKY PLANET (7) disappointed last start and was in top order prior to that. He's trialled well since and can put his best foot forward. |

THE HONG KONG JOCKEY CLUB SCHOLARSHIPS HANDICAP 1400m
PATCH OF STARS (5) made it back-to-back wins last start when winning very comfortably in easier company last start, winning by 1L as the $1.30 favourite. He's trialled well since that performance and this looks to shape well for him from an inside alley. Has plenty of upside and he can continue through the grades. SILVERY BREEZE (2) resumes in good order with a 1.8L defeat most recently at this track and trip. He's been kept up to the mark with some trials since and the blinkers go back on now. Rates highly off his latest effort and he's expected to be right there in the finish. VICTORY SKY (6) has been close his past couple and has turned in a winning trial since his latest performance. Back up to 1400m now but it doesn't appear an issue and he can make his presence felt. ARMOUR WAR EAGLE (3) disappointed at his latest run but his form at this track and trip prior was very impressive. Can return to that level on the fresh side. |
