RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE SOUTH EAST QUEENSLAND Maiden Plate 1800m
O'caldino to take up the running with Circus Maximus and Justafever close at hand. Tricky. BETTER DRAW (3) has needed the solid two runs back and will be sharper today over the longer distance. He draws inside and has more to give. Wiggins rides and respect the stable. PEAR BELLINI (9) is also in good hands and found more like her best at the Sunshine Coast. She'll finish hard at 1800m. PROVEN RECORD (10) just missed at Beaudesert on debut over 1400m. She presents fitter and gives every indication that this journey will suit. O'CALDINO (2) has the ability, but has disappointed in his last two. He's been freshened and has the tongue tie on again. No surprise to see a better effort. SUGGESTED PLAY: With Better Draw. |

CORNETTS SUPERMARKET QTIS Two-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1400m
Plenty of unraced runners engaged which muddies the map a little. It is fair to assume a genuine tempo. PROVOKER (1) was quickly back on track leading beaten a whisker at Doomben. He draws inside today and will be fitter again. He sets a decent standard. STAR OF ASCOT (4) has his third start and brings threatening efforts from Toowoomba. Maps well and can form the quinella. LADY WINDERMERE (10) was okay here last time after a slow off and will be better for it. She can improve into the money. PRIX DE LA HEART (7) debuts for the Cavanough yard and found a place in a recent Beaudesert trial. The betting will be key. GO MARO (3) brings a tidy debut effort from Toowoomba, and he's capable of building on that. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Provoker. |

SCHRAMM GROUP Maiden Handicap 1000m
Good early pressure anticipated with a large contingent of first starters. SANDY GRIP (12) resumes for the top metro stable and has mostly raced in town. She won a recent trial here, suggesting she's on song. Draws awkwardly, but Lang is a positive jockey booking. SOCIALLY RED (8) showed plenty in Victoria and will be better for the two outings for the Wallace yard. Has a handy 2kg claim and some gear tweaks. Quick improvement is likely. SIGNATURE TART (6) led and missed a whisker here two back on debut. Maps well and will be naturally improved. Keep safe. PETITE PALACE (5) is trialling well ahead of her return and is aided by the draw. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Sandy Grip each way. |

POWERED BY MI ELECTRIC Class 5 Handicap 1400m
Moderate tempo headed by Cosmic Beauty. SCUD (1) missed a whisker here in Stakes grade and then came back and went close in a CL4. It was a big effort from a wide gate, and she draws inside today. Has a handy 2kg claim, and she can go one better. AWAYGOESTHEBUNNY (3) raced favourite here at 70 level beaten 1.7L from a cruel barrier. He has the blinkers applied for the first time and can sit closer. Deserves another chance. COSMIC BEAUTY (4) led and held off Scud last time. She keeps improving, and the 2kg claim is handy. She will give a sight. REDZOUST (2) has been within range in stronger at Eagle Farm. He gives away starts, but his best would see him right in it. CHAYSE 'N' ADAM (7) went close here first up and is back to her best. Proven second-up and she will enjoy a soft run. In the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Scud. |

AUSTBROKERS COMSURE BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 1000m
Mr Encore, Uno Moon and Monte Cruise to take up the running at a strong tempo. UNO MOON (13) was back to his best, missing a whisker at Ipswich. The longer sprint shouldn't bother, and Lang replaces the apprentice. He can use the rail and go one better. I AM VOODOO (1) didn't appreciate the heavy track at Ipswich but had been racing honestly prior. Huxtable replaces the apprentice, and he can't be ruled out. PORT ERIN (12) showed improvement to place last start and is fitter again third-up so can progress further. DECISIVE LASS (9) resumes and is up to this if presented forward. Allen rides and should manage the awkward barrier. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Uno Moon. |

STO GROUP WINTER PROVINCIAL STAYERS - HEAT - BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 2400m
Genuine tempo with Gifted Gamer and The Khan up front. FARWEST (2) rates the one to beat. Went close at Eagle Farm and then got too far back on the heavy track at Ipswich. The staying trip will suit, and he finally draws a handy gate. THEBARBEROFSEVILLE (1) just missed the hat-trick in the same contest. He keeps improving and is live chance again. THE KHAN (5) led and won a 62 by a space at Ipswich, bouncing straight back. He gets in well with the 2kg claim and can fight out the finish with average luck pushing forward. CHAMPAGNE ROUGE (10) belted the Maidens at Ipswich as expected, on a heavy surface. The extra metres shouldn't bother and with average luck she should be around the mark. SACRED BULL (4) could make any headway on the Ipswich heavy, but his form prior would see him very competitive. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Farwest. |

RMHC - GOLD COAST FAMILY ROOMS QTIS Three-Year-Old BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1200m
Genuine tempo with the speedy Backstage leading the way. ALLY (11) came off Stakes company and will be better for the two starts this preparation. Just missed at this level and then was outgraded at Doomben after. Won her only third-up start and rates to be winning. BOOMING BIANCA (7) found the grade and heavy track too much at Doomben, but she missed a nose there prior first up, in a 70. She will use the low barrier and is a progressive galloper with decent claims. ESPRIT DU JOUR (16) is in the top metro barn and forgive her latest effort. Resumed in good order and has weight relief at this level. Lang rides today and will give her every chance from an inside barrier. VIERVILLE (3) was straight back into the winners circle on the poly here, and back on grass won't bother. He pushes forward and is in the mix. OH NOT REALLY (8) won his Maiden well enough at the Sunshine Coast and has been kept up to the mark with a Doomben trial. Has a 2kg claim and upside. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Ally. |

RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE SOUTH EAST QUEENSLAND BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1200m
Solid tempo with Tarps going forward from the good draw. LION CLASS (8) resumed at Doomben and wasn't beaten far from the pace. He's improved and may take a sit today. Strips fitter and should go close. WAR DRAMA (3) is a former Victorian resuming for Declan Maher and has switched from his brother's yard. He'd have these covered at best and has trialled well at Beaudesert. Needs a good ride, but no surprise to see him presented forward. ZOUTHUR (10) led and won a CL2 here and is on a quick backup. He's sure to give a sight. WATER LAD (9) led and missed a whisker at Parkes in Open grade. Lang has to manage an outside barrier, but he's on the improve and can't be taken lightly. CABSAV (5) has a 2kg claim and will be fitted again. Maps well and will be around the mark. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Lion Class. |
