NUM TIME COMMENT
1 02:13 DCOH Darwin Guineas 5 July Handicap 1300m
Strong early tempo with American Jazz and Marvelous Night leading the way. Small but competitive field to kick off the program. AMERICAN JAZZ (4) is flying and aims up for a hat-trick today. No reason to jump off after being given five weeks between runs to prepare for this. Looks the one to catch. BEYOND READY (2) meets the top pick slightly better at the weights looking to overturn a 3.5 len margin. Should be in it a long way. EDDY STREET (3) has moved up from Victoria and rates to be a major player despite the relative strength of the opposition. HE'S ESSENTIAL (6) finished last campaign in style and can make his presence felt here. FUNNYIFITWON (1) resumes with a habit of performing well fresh. Needs to be included. CROWN WATERS (5) can pop up in the top three at a price.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Stick with the in-form American Jazz who can lead this from pillar to post.
2 02:44 Darwin Cup Carnival We're All In! Handicap 1200m
New Enterprise should lead but there are a few other speedy types who can keep him honest. Interesting race and no shortage of pace engaged, so could well turn into a tactical battle up front. That being said, CAPTAIN GEORGE (2) is capable of sitting off them and winding up when it counts and he looks set to do that here. Should run well off a spell. TWO TIMES TWICE (1) deserves another chance after an ordinary showing last time, and is right in this on his best form. The well-traveled CONNI ISLAND (3) slots into a suitable race today and is capable of getting the prize. BEATIFICATION (4) can burn the candle at both ends and deserves each-way respect. REBELLIOUS HOPE (7) has performed fresh in the past and can run a bold race here.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Captain George looks ready for a bold resuming run.
3 03:23 ROANT Gold Cup Day 28 June Handicap 1200m
Only a small field with Wolfburn likely to find a comfortable lead. BON'S YOUR BACK (6) is the local runner they have to beat, but he has plenty of stern opposition here. ATLANTIC OCEAN (5) kicks off for his new trainer, having transferred from the Chris Waller yard, and he might just be too classy in his new surrounds. CINQUE TORRI (4) makes plenty of appeal having moved across from the capable hands of Bjorn Baker, and his best would measure right up in this one. PINK PANTHER (8) is another relative newbie to the Territory and rarely runs a bad race. WOLFBURN (2) comes into this on the fresh side and has to carry weight, but can lead them on a merry dance out in front.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Plenty of good chances here, so let's parcel up 6,5,4 into a boxed quinella.
4 03:57 TRNT Off The Track TROBIS Maiden Plate 1100m
Genuine tempo with Dynamic Theory leading the way. Looks to be all about SAXON BEACH (4) here, the ex-Ciaron Maher runner on debut for his new trainer. Best form rates above this level, and he should be breaking through and moving onto bigger and better things. MLINZI (8) shapes as the biggest danger having relocated from provincial NSW and should be ready to pounce if the top pick is off his game. NO BRAKES (1) has moved up from Queensland and rates well enough to feature in the finish, although does bump into a relatively decent field. DYNAMIC THEORY (3) will need improvement but is capable of grabbing a minor placing. MY REWARD (9) next best if she's come back in good order.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Happy to try another boxed quinella here with 4,8,1 all in the mix.
5 04:35 Family Day 12 July Handicap 1100m
Pace a scorcher, headed by Kissing Supido, Wild Beau and Dancer For Money, closely followed by Patriotic King and Tugela Falls. Another tough race on a competitive card. SUPER FAMOUS (4) offers plenty of appeal after only narrowing missing at last sighting here. Dropping back a peg in grade today and looks nicely weighted, considering. Takes beating. TELLEZ (6) debuts for his new trainer and brings a handy set of ratings with him. Must be considered. KISSING SUPIDO (2) comes through the same race as the top pick and is well and truly in consideration third-up. WILD BEAU (5) usually comes back ready to fire and is expected to feature when the whips are cracking. TUGELA FALLS (7) is in form and can't be overlooked in a competitive assignment.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Super Famous looks poised for another win stepping up to his pet distance.
6 05:05 Sportsbet Gala Ball On Sale Now Handicap 1600m
They should run this along with Faithful Champion and Miss Moov taking it up over Ankle Rolex. Really keen on DANGER MAN (5) to finish over the top of these in the last on the program. Looked to have a fair bit in hand last time when a handy winner and this shapes up as a logical progression. DESERT MIST (2) comes through the same race and will enjoy the distance rise on offer today. Tread warily with him engaged. KIEFFER (4) comes into consideration but will need to find a few lengths to be a serious contender today, while FAITHFUL CHAMPION (3) showed enough two starts back to suggest he could run a cheeky race today.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Thought Danger Man looked very impressive winning last start, and he's well equipped to go right on with it in this.
