BATTEN DISEASE AWARENESS Maiden Plate 2000m
Poseidon's Bluff should be able to comfortably find the front. The maiden stayers kick us off. MARAVICH (2) is unlucky to still be a maiden finishing runner-up at the past couple of outings and strikes a very winnable contest here. Will be rock-hard fit for this and only needs some luck from the wide draw to be playing a role in the outcome. BOLERO (7) has been thereabouts in recent efforts and is drawn to get a gun run in transit from gate three. Looms as the main danger. LILICA EBET (10) has placed around this circuit and gets the services of Wheeler in the irons. Top-three candidate. MOR KOMPASHYN (4) was a touch disappointing last time out but go on the solid second here when resuming. Worth another chance. SAVEA (3) next in line in a race with only a handful of chances. SUGGESTED PLAY: Maravich to shed the maiden tag. |

BARRIER REEF POOLS BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 860m
Cracking tempo looks assured with many of these capable of pushing on early. ENUFF PILLS (1) is racing in a rich vein of form stringing four wins together on the bounce before just running into one better at Ipswich last time out. Hard to knock mares with confidence and should be going very close again. The one to beat. CHARMED PASSAGE (11) has won first-up before, draws low and gets some weight relief with the 1.5kg claim. Ticks a few boxes. TOKYO SINS (3) loves this sprint trip with a win and two seconds from four attempts. Must be included in calculations. ONE 'N' ONLY (2) gets 3kg off from the favourable draw and has a solid fresh record. Respect any market confidence. RAN NA LADY (4) best of the rest in a competitive contest. SUGGESTED PLAY: Enuff Pills to get the chocolates. |

LADBROKES FORM GENIUS Maiden Handicap 1100m
Solid tempo with Unega Wahy'a possessing enough dash to find the front. WANT TO BE PROUD (1) has been knocking on the door of a maiden victory with consecutive runner-up finishes this time in and this is not an overly strong affair. Lloyd sticks in the saddle following the last couple of efforts and can go one better against this lot. UP THE CREEK (3) is facing the starter for the first time but has shown ability at the trials and is sure to be well-educated from the Vandyke barn. Respect any market confidence. CALL OUT (6) has been thereabouts in all five starts to date and looks to be nearing that elusive win. A must for the multiples. UNEGA WAHY'A (5) rounds out the selections. SUGGESTED PLAY: Want To Be Proud to break through. |

TICKETS ON SALE FOR THE 2025 GATTON CUP CALCUTTA 27 JUNE BENCHMARK 58 Handicap 1100m
Sea Commits and Qickwit can be prominent. The well-related JACKA STANDS ALONE (2) (half to 2xG3 winner and G2 placed Raiment) hasn't done much wrong to start the career with two wins and two placings from just four starts and looks the runner in this field with the most upside. Got the job done over this track and trip last time out and gets some weight relief with the 1.5kg claim. Rates the testing material. QICKWIT (19) has been right there in recent outings and gets in light with the claim. Can make his presence felt. MACHINE HEAD (3) strips fitter second-up from the spell and only needs some luck from the wide draw to play a role in the finish. HARD TO DISMISS (8) draws low and is best of the rest while fresh. SUGGESTED PLAY: Jacka Stands Alone to salute again. |

VALE PETER TOOHILL BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 1600m
Strong early tempo with I Promise You and Luton Hoo leading the way. OUR ORATOR (12) is a consistent conveyance who has hit the top-five at his past seven starts and has won when second-up before. Gets in well at the weights with the claim and another strong showing would not shock. LET FLY (3) hit the frame in her first run for the new stable and will have come on with that effort now in the locker. Shapes as one of the main contenders. LUTON HOO (7) wasn't too far off them in harder company last time out and is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley. Has claims on best form. SPILL THE SECRET (10) has placed two from two around this circuit and is worth including in the multiples. BOVIDAE (9) saluted here at the latest outing and looks ready for the mile journey now. In the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Our Orator to go one better. |

LVTC 2025 STARLIGHT FOUNDATION CHARITY GOLF DAY 27 JUNE C,G&E RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 Handicap 1400m
Moderate tempo with Beat Hollow leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. HUSSON'S REVENGE (11) has hit the top-five in five of his past six starts and looks to be on the doorstep of another victory. Will be rock-hard fit for this and can run a race at odds. THREE GONGS (5) was too bad to be true at the latest effort but the form prior was good enough to feature in a race of this nature. Worth another chance. Former Victorian ARMSTRONG BAY (6) is having his first run for the new stable but should find this easier than what he faced down south. Respect any market confidence. TARADALE (8) reunites with winning hoop Huxtable and can improve on recent efforts. SNOW SHOW (12) shed the maiden tag when resuming and will have derived a stack of confidence from that victory. Top-three prospect. SUGGESTED PLAY: Husson's Revenge each-way. |

TICKETS ON SALE 2025 LADBROKES GATTON CUP 28 JUNE C,G&E RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 Handicap 1400m
Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by The Wellian. PRIVATE TENDER (3) is an honest commodity who has hit the top-five in seven of eight career starts and rarely puts in a poor one. Will be ready to peak now third-up from the spell and should give backers a sight. Former Victorian FORT WILLIAM (11) has been right there in all three runs since joining the new yard and may have found his right race here. Can feature in the finish. SAMMAAN CITY (8) got the maiden out of the way last start and will have taken some confidence from that breakthrough victory. Respect from the Bruce barn. CRAZY EYED FRED (12) is a last-start winner who may make his presence felt. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 3,11,8,12. |

OFFICIAL 2025 LADBROKES GATTON CUP AFTERPARTY FALVEYS HOTEL GATTON F&M RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 Handicap 1400m
Expecting Coco Jewel to take up the running with Kamariya and Chemiosmosis close at hand. Open race to close out the card. SPRING DAZE (2) returned in fine fashion with a dominant win over this course and distance and looks a runner with plenty of upside. Winning rider Lloyd stays on top and can go back-to-back to commence the preparation. DIVINE GEM (1) doesn't win out of turn but is usually thereabouts and has placed two from two over this seven-furlong journey. Keep very safe from the favourable draw. KAMARIYA (4) is one from one over this track and trip and will strip fitter second-up from the break. Top-three contender on best form. AIMA SUN (5) is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley and looks one for the exotics players. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Quinella 2,1,4. |
