AVIS CARNARVON HANDICAP 1400m
Strong early tempo with Kentucky Blue and The Coolakin King leading the way. KENTUCKY BLUE (2) brings threatening form from Geraldton and missed 1L last time. He drops back 209m freshened and is a leader who is going to take plenty of catching around here. MOORUMBINE (1) was plainer last time but had been busting to win prior. The longer trip should suit him, and his best is good enough. He deserves another chance. THE COOLAKIN KING (4) mixes the form but has the ability. Gets in well with the 3kg claim and races forward. He has to be considered. WHO'S YOUR MAMA (3) peaks and has the blinkers applied for the first time. She went close over this trip last time after a stable switch. SUGGESTED PLAY: With Kentucky Blue. |

GASCOYNE TRADERS HANDICAP 1400m
Monty Zoomer should spear straight to the front of the small field. MONTY ZOOMER (1) is a leader who won here second-up over this trip and followed with a nose defeat, heavily bet again. Presents at peak fitness, and he can bounce back. LE TROY (3) switched barns on a two-week turnaround and belted the Maidens here by 4L. He will be fitter again and keeps the handy 3kg claim. He has more to give and will go close. DREAM ILLUSION (2) was good winning a Maiden here, but didn't get into it this grade following. Has the inside gate today, and stripping fitter can go better. MYSTIC LOVE (7) has been plain at her last two starts. Has the winkers on for the first time, and her best Geraldton form would see her competitive. SUGGESTED PLAY: With Monty Zoomer. |

TABTOUCH MAIDEN 1200m
Expecting Batter Up to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sharp trip. MYSTERY MINUTE (4) led and missed 1L first-up following a yard switch and then found one much too good, heavily bet. He had a tough run in that from a wide gate and draws inside today. Fitter now and can take this out. BATTLE ON BATTLER (1) resumes for a new yard, and he's been unlucky not to have broken through in stronger than this. The 4kg claim brings him right into it, and the betting will be key. BOLTCO JACK (3) switched yards and needed the first-up outing. He will be better for that, and he showed plenty early doors. Has an outside gate but is worth keeping onside. CASINO ROYALE (5) still looked short of a gallop in the same contest. He'd been racing in stronger and is likely to be around the mark. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Mystery Minute. |

HEDDI'S HAIR SALON HANDICAP 1200m
Exporose is expected to lead at a slick tempo. The speedy EXPOROSE (4) made the hat-trick with a comfortable win at York and then tackled stronger at Belmont and gave it away late. Much better suited today, and Faithful is engaged. Tough to peg back around here. AROOCHACHA (8) resumes and has won 2/5 fresh. Carries a feather with the 4kg claim, and he has pieces of form in stronger that stack right up. WISE WORDS (2) is third up and has more to offer. Never really got going last time but went well first-up prior. AND THEN WHAT (3) resumed improved winning this grade over 1000m, and then things didn't work out as favourite following. Strips fitter and is a chance if the wide barrier is managed. A hope finding his best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Exporose. |

KEVIN LEAHY MEMORIAL HANDICAP 1600m
Not much early pressure but Spanish Kat, Archer County and Divine Judgement can take up forward spots. IRONCLAD BOY (4) was quickly back on track beaten 1L here 13 days ago. It was a big effort, and with average luck in the run, he's the one to beat. GRECE LIGHTNING (3) came here and spiked his figures winning this grade over 1400m. Races forward and will go close holding that form. SPANISH KAT (5) led and went well over a mile at Geraldton and then didn't get into it here over 1400m. Comes back in grade over shorter again and will be better for his first outing on the surface. ARCHER COUNTY (1) drops back to a sprint on a quick backup. He mixes the form, but maps well, and his best would give him a hope. SUGGESTED PLAY: With Ironclad Boy. |

MALLARD CONTRACTING HANDICAP 1000m
Romero and Talking Heads should set a strong tempo. GENERAL KNOWLEDGE (2) has to overcome a wide gate but brings two narrow defeats this grade and trip. Has a senior hoop on replacing the 3kg apprentice, and with average luck he can win. TALKING HEADS (1) beat the above home in that contest, spiking his figures. Maps well and races forward. The 3kg claim takes care of the weight rise, and he is a decent chance to keep the ball rolling. CHEEKY CHARLOTTE (5) resumed at Belmont for the in better company and has switched stables on a 23-day return. She'd win at best but has to handle the surface and a very wide barrier. Stablemate PRIMATIVE (6) led and went close here second up. Draws inside again and stripping fitter also has claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to General Knowledge. |
