WISHES AND DREAMS (6) looked in need of her debut run over 1000m on this course. She lost a length leaving the start and was outpaced. She would have gained from the experience and will love the extra 200m on offer. Richard Fourie retains the ride and with the natural improvement that is expected rates highly. MONEY GALORE (5) ran a decent race on debut over this distance on the turf. She raced from just off the pace and stayed on well at the finish. She would have come on from the run and should make the natural progression needed. MAKE BELIEVE (4) found one too good on debut over 1000m on this course last start. She should enjoy the extra 200m on offer and she can improve enough to go one better. IVY (3) is better than her last start run on the turf would suggest. Her penultimate run when third over 1000m on this course was encouraging. Luyolo Mxothwa steps back into the saddle and if putting her best foot forward can finish in the money. |

GRAND ALLEGRO (1) has finished second in his last two starts over 1200m on this course. He raced from a handy position last time and fought hard all the way to the line. He should be ideally suited to 1300m and can shed his maiden tag. GREEN OKRA (2) showed good improvement when finishing second of 11 over 1200m on this course last time when resuming from a spell. He raced from a handy position and stayed on well at the finish. He will strip a much fitter horse and looks hard to beat. GLOBAL DRUMBEAT (5) resumed from a spell last start and went a bold race at long odds to finish third of 11 over 1200m at this track when after being in contention on the turn. Likely improver with each-way claims. BROOKSIDER (3) has placed in two of his last four starts but only finished fifth of six last time out over 1200m at this track. Races well at this track and looks well placed to return to form. |

FANTASY GIRL (3) has moderate recent form lines to her name. She tries the 1900m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer should be fighting out the finish. GLOBAL SCENE (1) is better than her first run for the Juan Nel stable looks on paper. She steps up in distance and fresh-up from a spell if putting her best foot forward can place. HAT MONTERA (4) took on male rivals over this course and distance last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. Jumps from an inside draw and is worth considering. |

Xolani Ndlovu is likely to use his early gate speed to overcome the wide draw and he may be hard to peg back. CATCH THE TUNE (2) is better than his last start run when finishing eighth of 11 over 2000m on the turf would suggest and in this line-up can return to form. JACK IN THE GREEN (1) resumed from a spell last start and ran home strongly to score by a nose over this course and distance. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field and will be storming home late. RED WILLIAM (9) has good recent form lines to his credit. He has finished second in both of his last two stars and rates well as a leading chance. |

WAZ WOUTER (4) fought hard for his last victory over this course and distance. He is in a good space and merits healthy respect. COURAGEOUS (1) last two starts have been decent. She does have a wide draw to overcome but gets the services of Richard Fourie who will give her all the necessary assistance needed from the saddle. BLUE PALACE (3) is better than her resuming run as she was reported to be not striding out. She would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. With a bit of luck in the running she should be running in the money. COLORAMA (10) ran on strongly when winning her last start over this course and distance. She is likely to be settled near the rear of the field and will be storming home late. Well worth considering. |
