Slick pace with Shalom finding the front but it won't be a picnic with a few other speedy types engaged. SOLAR RAY (5) improved last time out to score by 9 lengths as favourite over 1500m at this track. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. SHALOM (7) pushed forward when resuming last time and boxed on to finish a nose away in second over 1500m at this track. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. A SHIN JADEITE (1) was comfortably accounted for when sixth last time out over 920m here after a win at Kasamatsu at the previous outing. Finds an easier assignment and can get the job done. DOREMIFONG (2) was seventh in a 1700m contest at this track two weeks ago. Worth noting Makoto Okabe goes aboard. No surprise to see her in the frame.
