Plenty of early pressure with Paint Me Red, Where's Poppy and Turn Up The Night leading the charge. COFFIN DODGER (2) led at Murtoa second-up and won his Maiden by an even bigger margin. He will use the rail and will be tough to beat. MR CHARISMATIC (4) didn't come up his two starts last preparation but won a Moonee Valley Maiden prior when on debut. That more than stacks up and the small claim is handy. The late betting will be key. WRITTEN ROYALTY (1) will likely give away a start but has been racing okay in better grade. He can't be ruled out. WHERE'S POPPY (6) is back in grade and is going well enough to consider. The speedy galloper maps well and the 2kg claim brings him right into it. SUGGESTED PLAY: Coffin Dodger appeals most.
