Pace on from the outset with Fickle and Tapo pushing forward, closely attended by Girl and Nova Lights. NOVA LIGHTS (5) gets the nod. She started favourite and got the job done at Mornington last time out at BM64 level, adding to her consistent record. She's still improving and can go on with the job here. SPARKLING (3) will find this easier than recent runs, outclassed in two strong BM78 races at her past couple. Prior to that she was racing well and out to 1200m here from a soft draw, she should bounce back. GIRL (2) is coming off a sound BM64 win at Mornington when only second up. She won her only start here and loves the 1200m. She should get a good run on speed and measure up. FICKLE (10) is a progressive filly straight off a dominant maiden win at Warrnambool. No surprise if she measured up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Nova Lights to win.
