PERILLA (5) is a winner of her last two starts, the latest of which was here over this distance on the poly track. She is unbeaten from two starts on this course over the trip. Rachel Venniker takes the 1.5kg off her back which will assist her cause. She is in a good space and can bring up the hat-trick. SIMPLE SIMPLE (3) fought on when fourth over 1200m on this course last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has since been franked. She is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back. LITTLEBLACKVELVET (7) gave 4kg claiming apprentice Mxolisi Mbuto his first winner last start. She finished fourth behind the top pick in her penultimate run and should be thereabouts again. MALCOLM'S DREAM (6) is better than her last two starts suggest. Four of her five career victories have come over this distance and she could cause the upset.
