RACECOURSE HOTEL & MOTOR LODGE RATING 65 1200m Track: AW True |

Strong pace from Giannis, Pizarro and Mirabella, with Jack Attack and Ardour on their heels. RULE OF LAW (2) is an honest gelding resuming from a spell. He comes to hand quickly and has been placed in 5 of his 6 starts on the poly track here. He can secure a cosy run from his handy gate, and with Bruno Queiroz in the saddle, he will be afforded every opportunity to make a winning return to the track. PURE ARTIST (4) had ruined his chances last start by playing up behind the barriers, so it is best to ignore that modest effort on a heavy track. All of his form has been on the poly surface here, and a form reversal would be no surprise. Each-way value. LILLY (5) was too worked up before the start on the turf here nearly 4 weeks ago, and had already run her race before she left the gates. She will find this easier than either of her first 2 starts back from a spell, and she can figure in the top 4 at nice value. PIZARRO (6) led and only faded late in her first start in the South Island for a new trainer. Stick with her. SUGGESTED PLAY: Rule Of Law can win in an even field like this, also include Lilly at odds.
