Looks a keen contest with Nihonpiro Vesper and Asaga Kuru pressing for the lead with Lady Cocoa and Tamba Ryu close at hand. ASAGA KURU (5) is close to breaking through after two consecutive placings, the latest coming when third over 1400m at this track after being prominent from the outset. Nicely placed to give this a mighty shake. EGAO MUTEKI (8) solid effort last start when second up from a spell, beaten just one length into second over 1400m at this track. Will need a good ride from Myojo Haru Dai off the awkward draw but looks ready to win. NIHONPIRO VESPER (4) ran below expectations last time at this track, finishing sixth starting at $3.80. Finds a nice race and can make amends. PRETTY PUNK (2) progressed nicely last start to finish a close second over 1400m at this track. Can build on that solid recent effort.
