SCION (3) went forward over 1200m at Kilcoy and held on well for second, beaten 1.75 lengths, bouncing straight back from a disappointing run here bet $2.4. Maps well and will get every chance to go one better. SIR MEMPHIS (4) resumes and was beaten a whisker over 1350m at Warwick when last seen. Has the inside barrier and a 2kg claim and he just missed in a recent trial at Toowoomba. A live chance. ELEGANT LUCY (9) has had two runs this preparation for a new barn and should be ready to show more like her NSW best. Can be in the finish if she does but the gate is sticky. FOXTROTTING (6) had been well educated before his 2.4L defeat at Warwick on debut. Has a wide gate but can improve into the money. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Scion.
