Solid tempo with Star Cruising possessing enough dash to find the front. STAR CRUISING (7) led throughout last start to score an effortless 3 lengths win over 1300m at this track. One of the top chances again. MARCHEN RISE (3) is a 17-start maiden struggling to break through but does look to be edging closer, the latest effort a solid fourth over 1600m at this track after she gave away a big start on straightening. Well placed to break the ice. JO COMODO (8) has progressed nicely in his last couple of runs. Finished third two starts back then landed the prize by 4 lengths as public elect last time out over 1600m at this track. Likely to be in the finish again. FROSTY QUARTZ (1) is returning from a spell of ten weeks. Finished 14th at Chukyo over 1600m at the first run last prep. Now with a new trainer Tetsuya Nagase. Should be primed for this.
