Black Tinker to set a strong tempo joined by Purple Rouge pressing on from an outside draw. NAMURA FIXER (5) improved sharply on his fifth two starts back at this track with success as public elect over 1400m at this track two-and-a-half weeks ago, getting home by a neck after being prominent at the corner. Not much tougher this time so is worth serious consideration. JULY FIRST (9) turned in a fine effort to score at this course and distance last start in a far better run. Worth noting Masaaki Ohata goes aboard. Likely to be there at the finish again. BLACK TINKER (1) had been rock-solid with two placings in a row before finishing sixth over 1200m at Sapporo last start. Should be in the finish in this weaker race. MEINER LACAILLE (8) struggled in a tougher race two starts back but last time appreciated the drop in grade and bounced back to salute over this track and trip. Can feature in the finish again.
