A strong tempo from Maverick Queen and Kylie's Angel pressing forward along with Whirlybird. VERSACE ONTHETRACK (1) is a talented filly who has been in the money in all three starts. Is at the races for the first time since she was successful over 1160m at Turffontein Standside last start. Likely to push forward and race on the pace. Will prove tough to beat. MALIBU (2) resumes after a break of five months. Did win at her only other first-up run when on debut, scoring over 1000m at Turffontein Inside. Solid each-way chance. RED AMBER (6) has been racing in great heart with two top-three finishes on end, the latest a third over 1450m at this track. Going up a level this time but she is up to the challenge. MAVERICK QUEEN (7) met with solid support last time out but could only manage to finish sixth over 1160m at Turffontein Standside in a disappointing performance. Looks well placed so expecting a big run this time.
