Derelict should lead but there are a few other speedy types who can keep him honest. BAZABALL REWARDED (7) should have broken through last preparation but made up for that with an easy Maiden win here first up. She'd won a jumpout at the track and started as a short favourite. Maps awkwardly but strips fitter, and she can take the next step. ABOVETHEFROSTLINE (2) led and was an easy CL1 winner at Moonee Valley at her only start last preparation. She brings a string of sharp jumpouts, and the 3kg claim brings her right into it. ELLICAZAM (5) resumes and has switched from a Western Australian stable. She won a Northam Maiden two back on debut and was first home in a recent Cranbourne jumpout. Has ability but hasn't raced for 372 days. ALAA PLENTY (3) resumed from bone chip surgery at Bendigo and didn't get into it. She's likely to need this as well but respect the stable. SUGGESTED PLAY: Staying with Bazaball Rewarded.
