Plenty of pace from Ryans Boulevard, Willowild and Echo Check vying for the lead, with a few others keeping them honest. WILLOWILD (5) lost a length leaving the start last time and stayed on well to finish fourth. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. The daughter of One World will be storming home late. CLAIRWOOD ROSE (13) tried hard when third over 1200m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. With Muzi Yeni in the saddle merits healthy respect. SHINTO SHRINE (2) was running on well when third over 1450m on the Classic course last time. He finished second in his only attempt over this course and distance. Louis Nhlapo retains the ride and he is worth considering. ECHO CHECK (6) impressed when successful on debut over 1160m at Turffontein Standside last start and has not raced since. Looks promising and fresh-up from a spell can take this race out.
