A solid tempo on the cards with Hermosa Mio taking charge. RIKEA MINNEOLA (1) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at this track, finishing fourth and only 2.5 lengths from the winner. No tougher this time, so should be right up to this. MARUKAN BLOND (5) missed the frame narrowly when resuming from a break last time out, finishing fourth over 2000m at this track. Has a solid second-up record and should be fitter with a run under the belt. Ready to find best form. TAKENO SHINSEI (6) drifted well back and failed to finish it off last start over 1700m at Kokura Dirt. This is a nice drop in grade so he is well placed to play a major role. SMITHSONIAN (4) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 2000m at this track. Nicely placed to find some form.
