Strong pace from Gunshot, King Of Silk and My Lucky Charm. MY LUCKY CHARM (10) produced a promising debut effort over 1450m on the Classic course. He jumped inwards leaving the start, but the manner in which he stayed on at the finish to run second was encouraging. He will love the rise to 1700m and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should be the one to beat. OLYMPIAN GOLD (5) has finished second in his last two starts, the latest of which was over 1600m on this course. If keeping on a straight line, he should be competitive. MAJALUN (1) showed improvement when third over 1800m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. Apprentice Girish Samo-Burthia takes 4kgs off his back and if confirming his recent improvement, he can place. TRIP TO PEACE (6) finished third last time at this track and will be fitter again, rates well as one of the main chances.
