Former Victorian VACILLATION (4) had been right there in both runs since joining the new stable prior to getting a well-deserved victory here before the spell. Rates highly on that effort and should be right there when the judge calls a halt. FORTUNEER (1) resumes here but has a handy first-up record with a win and two placings from four attempts. Tuned up for this with two recent trials and can run a big race while fresh. DESTINYS SUMMIT (3) is one from one over this track and trip and is better than the past couple of outings suggest. Capable of bouncing right back. SMART RECOGNITION (7) is a two-time winner over this distance range and gets the services of Thornton in the irons. Definite top-three claims. LIETUVA (5) next best with the claim from the inside alley. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Vacillation.
