SANDOWN-HILLSIDE   18 Sep 2024

GOING: G(4)

Sportsbet Jockey Watch Handicap 1800m

Track: GOOD 4   Rain (Max: 17)   Rail: Out 12m Entire Circuit.

Off the low draw the speedy Bon Appetit should lead at a genuine tempo. HALF YOURS (14) looks the one to beat having been successful in both starts this campaign, far too good when last seen at Cranbourne over 1600m, scoring by six lengths. The extra 200m will only aid his cause and he's got more upside than these. THE ENGLISHMAN (11) broke through for his third career win last start at Canterbury at BM72 level. Tricky draw here but gets Zahra aboard and is well placed in this grade. MAGARTEN (2) is a consistent type who wasn't beaten far at Sandown Lakeside by a handy one last time out. He should be thereabouts. MORRYL MORAL (6) was rewarded for consistency last start with a win in Adelaide and is in the mix. NISHINO CRESCENT (9) won well fresh at Geelong and can figure. SUGGESTED PLAY: Half Yours to win.
