Eri Kohaku is the likely leader at a strong tempo. SOUTHERN WIND (5) is back from a spell of nine weeks. Was narrowly beaten at her only appearance when last in work at this track over 1400m. Should be poised just off the lead. Best figures should see her run well. ERI KOHAKU (6) was flying with four wins in a row before being sent out favourite last time and finishing fourth over 1000m at Monbetsu. Strong record with Mai Fukuhara aboard, including three wins. Leading contender. SHIGERU ALEGRIA (8) missed the placings two runs back then didn't feature last start when 9 lengths away in eighth over 900m at Kawasaki. Finds a tougher race but she has the talent to test this line-up. VINA MY THO (1) was below par when 6 lengths from the winner in fifth over this course and distance last start. Has a much better draw this time. Should settle handy in the run. Deserves respect on best figures.
