Slick tempo with Lessoursdemacarons to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. LESSOURSDEMACARONS (7) flew the gates and led throughout to score by a neck last start over today's journey at this track. Has a good record here at this journey with two wins and three minor placings from seven starts. Expected to go very well. TRYFAN (1) turned in a fair effort at Saga over 1300m at his last run three-and-a-half months ago, finishing fourth and beaten 2.25 lengths. Now under the care of new trainer Satoshi Kokubo. Has ability and should be right in the finish. LIVE GARNET (5) scored two back at Kawasaki but was below her best last time when seventh over 1500m at this track. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot find winning ways. ALSAFI (12) won his maiden four starts back and is ready to salute again after a string of recent placings, the latest when third over 1400m at this track. Proving a good combination with Yujiro Tanabata with three straight placings. Deserves respect.
