Hot tempo expected with Waganse, Tonopah and Idea Milagro heading the charge. TONOPAH (5) comes here off a break of four-and-a-half months. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 1500m at this track. Yet to win first up but generally runs well with two minor placings from four tries. Expect him to play a major role. WIND FLAVOR (3) was a winner over 1400m at Ohi last time out, dropping out early before coming home with a powerful run to score by one length. Likely to measure up again. DAIRYU BOWLER (8) settled well back when resuming last time then wound up strongly in the straight to finish second over today's journey at this track. Good chance. JO ESPOIR (7) was well in commission last time but ran below expectations when fourth and beaten 6 lengths over 1600m at Kawasaki. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Solid claims on best form.
