Off the low draw Melo Pearl has enough speed to lead the way in the absence of a recognised leader. MELO PEARL (3) scored at this track last time out with 3 lengths to spare over today's journey. Is yet to miss the frame in three starts over this course and distance. Can go on with it. APPRAISER (9) produced a good run two starts back to finish second but disappointed last time when out of the placings at this track over the same trip after he had settled well back. Likely improver with strong prospects. KISS AND TELL (10) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at this track, finishing second and only 2 lengths from the winner at the end of 1500m after being prominent at the bend. Finds a suitable race and can play a major role. RYUNO RED EYE (4) lines up for the first time since July 12. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 1000m at Monbetsu. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
