MORNINGTON PIER (5) resumed with an encouraging run at Bendigo, running on powerfully from back in the field to go down narrowly in second. He took on some very strong 3yo races last time in over a staying trip and looks well placed out to the mile here. THE MARG FACTOR (11) will take catching. She was below her best last start at Moonee Valley but wasn't beaten far and her form prior reads nicely. Maps ideally and will go close.
