GOING: H(10)

Anzac Day 25 Apr ON SALE BenchMark 65 Handicap 1400m

Track: HEAVY 10     Rail: True. (Pent: 6.9).

Only a moderate tempo with no recognised leaders engaged. MILLWARD (5) showed a lot of courage when winning fresh up at Ipswich by a nose 3 weeks ago. He has been handled patiently and is normally just as sharp second up. This track will suit him and he can win again. SUBSTITUTION (3) is racing consistently and kicked hard off the front at Chinchilla last time out when finishing third. He slides down in class and is due to win again. AIRSTRIKE (12) has been getting fitter over the sprint trips and is now ready to show her best with an extra 300 metres on offer here. Each way. NEGATION (14) has been thereabouts of late and is cherry-ripe now to play a role in the finish. Worth including. SUGGESTED PLAY: Millward gets the nod.
