Moderate pace from Citygold Lightning taking it up with Star Express and Forest Gold on his back. CITYGOLD LIGHTNING (2) has been kept fresh since winning over 1400m at this track four weeks ago. Has since won a trial in fine style. Hard to beat once again. STAR EXPRESS (1) has been in the placings at his last two starts, finishing third last time over 1100m on the all-weather after he gave away a big start. Far better placed out to this trip. Sure to be in the finish. COMBUSTION (3) is a 17-start maiden who could only manage to finish fifth at his latest appearance over 1600m at this track. Looks to be in the right race to play a big role. DRAGON BOSS (5) missed the placings two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 6 lengths away in sixth over 1600m at this track. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
