From their good gates Kastrom Pepe, Kotohodo Sayoni and O K Birdie will likely vie for the lead in a keen early contest. ARIES KING (12) pushed forward when resuming last time and boxed on to finish 4.5 lengths away in third over 1800m at Hanshin Dirt. Should be on-pace despite the tricky draw. Facing a tougher assignment but he is worth serious consideration. O K BIRDIE (4) showed good early muster and fought on to finish third when resuming last start over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt. Drawn to go forward again. Going up a level this time but she is good enough to play a major role. KOTOHODO SAYONI (7) finished second last time over 1700m at Kokura Dirt when resuming from a spell, beaten 1.3 lengths. Nicely placed to go one better. KASTROM PEPE (6) has not raced since he scored on debut over 1800m at Kyoto Dirt on October 21. One of the main contenders.
