Genuine tempo with the speedy Thorny Issue and Meisho Kashiwade matching motors. MONT BLANC MINORU (9) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a spell on July 13, finishing eighth and beaten 9 lengths over 2600m at Hakodate. Good fresh performer who is a strong chance to kick the campaign off on the right note. THORNY ISSUE (6) is a promising colt yet to miss the frame in two starts, including a win when he last appeared over 1800m at Kyoto Dirt on June 1. Has a high cruising speed. Leading contender. FUINO MAJIWARI (5) finds it hard to win but ran a strong race last time when beaten a neck into second over 1800m at Niigata Dirt. Can run another bold race. KITASAN SHIDEN (4) improved last start to finish third over 1800m at this track. Heading the right way and can figure in the finish again.
