CAFE NOIR (9) finds it hard to win with just one success from 11 starts but has five minor placings. Was again denied last start when she found a couple better over 1400m at this track. Placed to advantage and can run a bold race. SEMIMARU (13) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 10 starts. Thereabouts last start when fourth over 1400m at Chukyo Dirt, beaten 8 lengths. Likely contender with strong prospects. NATURAL RIVER (3) finished fifth when resuming two runs back then did a good job last start but found one better over 1400m at this track, beaten only half a length after being prominent at the bend. Finds a suitable race and can go on to take this out. GO FOR MAHMOUD (7) lines up on the back of a 4.5 lengths fifth over 1800m at this track. One of the main contenders.
