Moderate tempo anticipated without a noted leader to run them along. MAGARTEN (1) was a strong winner at this track and trip two starts back before a rock-solid effort when wide in a stronger race last start behind Marble Arch. Back to BM64 grade and drawn well in the middle, he can bounce back. ARTZINO (2) was just fair first-up but will have derived plenty of benefit from that. He's a promising horse who raced in some strong races last time in and if he brings his best he'll go close. TO BE FRANK (4) resumes. He took on some strong races last campaign and looks suited at the mile first-up. THE BRILL BUILDING (3) was good last start at Bendigo over this trip and should get every chance from a soft draw here. SMOKIN' PRINCESS (9) was good first-up at Terang. Stays at the mile but strips fitter and can figure. SUGGESTED PLAY: Magarten to win.
