Strong early tempo with American Star, Pewter Sky and Judgement Day leading the way. PEWTER SKY (4) has fair recent form lines to his credit. He lost a length leaving the start over 2000m last time and stayed on well to finish fourth. He takes a drop in the ratings. and if getting away to a clean start can notch up his third-career victory. A PLACE IN THE SUN (6) ran home strongly when finishing second of 11 in her last start over 1600m at the Vaal nwhen well fancied. She has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this course and distance. Kabelo Matsunyane steps back into the saddle and the combination merit healthy respect. HOLOCENE (9) bounced back to form with a third of nine at this track after a less than encouraging eighth at this track two starts back. Can keep form and looks ready to run well again. LIBECCIO (7) finished second of 11 two runs back at this track then improved last time out to score as the favourite over 1600m at this track. Racing in good form and has to be respected.
