Strong tempo from Nihonpiro Grit crossing from an outside gate, with Lovers Blue also pushing up. LOVERS BLUE (3) went forward when resuming last start over 1500m at this track and held on well for second, only beaten half a length. Should be prominent again from the low draw. Has a solid strike rate and is expected to be in the finish again. SEVEN SPRINGS (5) drew wide and was pretty plain last time out when seventh at this course and distance. Winning rider Seigo Tsukamoto stays aboard. Among the chances. CHAT KELLY (4) met with solid support last start over 1400m at Kasamatsu when third. Reunites with Hiroki Murakami who has been in the money seven times when aboard. Certainly one to consider. DERMA GANYMEDE (9) turned in a decent effort last start to finish second over 1500m at this track. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run.
