Expecting a moderate pace headed by Aliza and Ready As Bam. EXCESS CAPITAL (4) showed little early pace but warmed to the task late to get up for fourth over this course and distance last start. Likely to be giving away and start again but watch for her late in the piece. LUMINOUS GIRL (8) filled a placing for the first time when third over 800m at Ipswich last Friday. Has the pace to neutralise the wide gate. Big chance on the quick back-up. FUNKY COLD MEDINA (1) has raced four times, all in the 1000-1050m range, and been competitive on each occasion. Should find this easier than the last outing - just needs an ounce of luck from the tricky gate to be highly competitive. IT'S KAOS (9) returns after a four-month spell. Decent effort on debut at the Sunny Coast last prep. Recent trial winner who looks ready to run well. STARWARD (3) has been kept fresh since finishing second over 800m at Kilcoy six weeks ago. One of the better hopes. SUGGESTED PLAY: Excess Capital each-way.
