Solid tempo with several going forward headed by Bel Leone. LIVE BAFFY (7) has strung together a couple of wins at this course, the latest on July 9 over 1400m when he scored by one length. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. TOSEN ADELAIDE (10) started at $2.30 last time but could only manage seventh, beaten 9 lengths, at Urawa over 1500m. Should settle just off the speed despite the draw. Among the leading chances. BEL LEONE (2) resumed three weeks ago over 1500m at this track and was only beaten 1.75 lengths into fifth after being prominent at the turn. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. DIR BRAND (9) turned in a decent effort last start to finish second over 1400m at Urawa. Placed to advantage so anticipating another big run.
