Plenty of pace from the outset with Force Gate and Sky Across leading the charge. ELEPHANT RUN (3) really dug deep to salute by 1.5 lengths three runs back at this track before filling a minor placing at his last two starts. Gets the advantage of a good draw today. Nicely placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. DOZAN ONE (6) turned in a fine effort to score by a neck at today's track and distance last time out to continue his outstanding recent form. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. SOUL STRIKE (9) has not appeared since he finished second over 1500m at this track on December 18. Has a solid first-up record of three wins and two placings from seven starts. Can make his presence felt. BACKBEAT (8) won at this track two starts ago but was below his best at a more recent appearance, finishing eighth over 1400m at this track. Finds a nice race and can make amends.
