Expecting Appraiser to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. APPRAISER (2) crossed from an outside draw last time to stalk the lead before drawing clear to win by 5 lengths over 1500m at this track. Looks the testing material again. LANI'S GRACE (4) pushed forward from a wide draw last start and found a position close to the lead before sticking on well to finish second over 1500m at this track. Placed to advantage so expect a forward showing. SMILE POPPY (3) finished out of the money two starts back then she settled well back and was beaten 4.5 lengths when fourth over 1500m at Funabashi three weeks ago. Has her share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. ADVENT EVE (5) was beaten 9 lengths into fifth in a 1600m contest at Kawasaki eight days ago. Better than recent efforts suggest.
