Genuine pace with Cluedo Lane finding the front but it won't be a picnic with a few other speedy types engaged. WITZ END (3) has been out of form this prep, but did have an excuse on an unsuitable heavy track here on the turf track nearly 3 weeks ago. He races on a poly track for the first time, and from a good gate, he is the one to beat. QUEEN OF NAPLES (11) is a very promising mare who was out of sorts at Ashburton 5 weeks ago. Both of her wins have come on the poly track here, and she is expected to bounce back into some good form. Each way value. POGACAR (10) is an up-and-coming gelding who has been freshened up since winning by nearly a length at Ashburton in October. He has won a mandatory trial since then, after playing up behind the barriers, and he is right in this. CLUEDO LANE (5) was only claimed late at Timaru after leading, and is worth including. SUGGESTED PLAY: Witz End to win here.
