Expecting a very strong tempo with lots of early pressure, predominantly from Halberdier, Dakota Cat and Princess Lola. HALBERDIER (1) was not disgraced when finishing fifth last start. He should have finished closer to the winner that day as he hung inwards throughout. He takes a drop in class and looks ideally placed here to winning form. CIRCUS LIGHTS (5) took the lead at the 150m mark last time, but was caught late, finishing a neck second of 11 at this track over 1200m. He meets similar rivals here and rtaes well as one of the leading chances. PRINCESS LOLA (3) got off the mark with her maiden success at Vaal last start as the hot favouirite. Gavin Lerena is back in the saddle and she can measure up again. TWICE AS WILD (9) bounced back to winning form at this track last start and was then put out for a spell. She jumps from an inside gate and having placed previously when produced fresh-up has top-three claims.
