Genuine tempo with the speedy Nishino Histoire leading the way. KALAMATIANOS (2) was well in the market on debut last time out and ran well but found a couple better over 1800m at Niigata. With some natural improvement to come he can open his account this time. DUCATO (4) resumes from a spell of ten weeks and looked close to a win before that break, finishing off with a minor placing over 1800m at Fukushima. Re-unites with Akira Sugawara. Good chance to open this campaign on a winning note. KAZENO TAKATOSHI (12) produced a nice effort on debut in better company last start over 1800m at Niigata when second, beaten 2.5 lengths. Contend with a wide draw but he can feature again. NISHINO HISTOIRE (3) did a fair job on debut last time out, finishing 2.5 lengths from the winner in third over 1800m at Niigata. Has ability and worth including.
