Off the low draw Bergasun has enough speed to lead the way in the absence of a recognised leader. SOMAX (12) didn't appear to love the synthetic on debut but improved nicely to run second at Wangaratta last time out. Can improve again here and should take beating. GRATIFICATION (3) wasn't beaten all that far first up at Bendigo despite finishing eighth. Fitter and the rise to 1600m will help. Can improve. BERGASUN (10) has been even in two runs to date but could improve from the soft gate. YOU LITTLE NIPPER (9) is in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Somax to win.
