Solid tempo likely with Champ Profond leading the charge. MANDALONG STARZ (7) was in contention on the corner and ran a better race last start to finish a close third over 1600m at Goulburn after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Tackling a more suitable race so she is sure to be right there at the finish. HURRICANE CONI (1) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he was never in contention over 1600m at Canberra, beaten 8 lengths into tenth. Worth noting Nick Heywood goes aboard. Ideally placed and is sure to give this a mighty shake. NEVER LOSE FAITH (9) finished one length from the winner in fourth last start over 1650m at this track, an improvement on her fifth at Braidwood the run before. Beautifully placed and is sure to be there at the finish. DASHING ELGEE (2) produced another moderate effort last start when 5 lengths from the winner in eighth over 1425m at this track at the second run back from a spell. No surprise to see him in contention. SUGGESTED PLAY: Mandalong Starz to win.
