Strong tempo, primarily from Earth Gravity and Ryuguno Yume. POMPELMO (4) is in top form with three wins on end, the latest by one length over 1400m at Saga six-and-a-half weeks ago. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Will prove tough to beat. BRIGHT GAZER (5) returns after three-and-a-half months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a tenth over 2000m at Sapporo. No surprise if he was able to get off the mark here fresh. BALLET DE LAPIN (6) is an eight-start maiden who finished 12th at her most recent outing over 1600m at this track after she got a long way back in the run. Solid top-three chance on her best figures. ADENIUM (12) finished ninth at her last appearance over 1600m at this track on November 11 after she gave away a big start. Worth plenty of thought in this suitable assignment.
