Genuine tempo with Luna and Aoi Atsuhime battling for early supremacy. GIGA STORM (3) remains a maiden after eight runs. Met with plenty of support last time but after being in contention on the bend could only manage to finish fourth over 1500m at this track. Likely to be in the finish in this suitable assignment. ROUGE ONYX (7) is returning from a spell of ten months. Finished seventh at Tokyo over 2000m at the first run last prep. Now with a new trainer Kazuya Ibi. One of the genuine hopes in the race. VALIDUS (2) missed the frame last time out when ninth over 1400m at this track. Expected to run a better race from the good draw. KURINO GENIUS (4) finished fourth at his last appearance over 1500m at this track on September 3. Among the better chances in what looks a nice race for him.
