Ilikesooboogie and Tidal Surge to apply plenty of early pressure. CLEVER ILLUSION (1) resumed at Bendigo but didn't get into it from a wide gate. He brought strong relative form to that and had trialled well. Maps for a soft run and anticipate sharp improvement. SKILFUL ARTIST (6) resumes and has shown enough to suggest he's a chance. He ran his best race with Kersley booked and he's reunited. He will give away a start but can finish hard. ILIKESOOBOOGIE (3) resumes and he'll be right in the finish if presented forward. The local has been off the scene for 662 days following a leg injury and it will be a top training effort if he gets up. FAIR GAME (8) is in a leading metro barn and is likely to show more third-up. She races forward and has each-way claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Clever Illusion.
