Plenty of speed runners engaged, with Sonic Cry, Starsheena and Qaraar prominent. QARAAR (12) has transferred from Ciaron Maher to Ross Purcell since leading before finishing fifth over 1000m on the Pakenham synthetic three weeks ago. Speedy filly who will give them something to catch over this sharp journey. SWEET CHARLIE (2) returned from a seven-month spell with a respectable third over 950m at Berrigan last start. Lightly raced four-year-old with plenty of improvement to come. BRAVE EMMA (4) has had plenty of chances but will find this easier than recent runs in Victoria, the pick of them a close fourth over 1005m at Warracknabeal two back. In the mix. ROSIE'S PROPHECY (8) resumes. Beaten under three lengths when fresh from a spell last prep over 1000m at Albury. Expected to go well. STARSHEENA (9) returned in good order at Wagga last start and is open to improvement. SUGGESTED PLAY: Qaraar to run them off their legs.
